After 4 years of service Leon
Reinhart recently stepped down
as ICF’s Chairman of the Board.
Leon had served on ICF’s board
since 1999.
During his tenure as Chairman, Leon has been responsible for leading the foundation to new heights. ICF salutes Leon Reinhart for 4 years of service with the foundation grantmaking over $12.7 million and other charitable contributions across the Americas and Asia. As
a former bank executive, Leon
brought a set of skills and
practical business experience in
his role as Chair, with an eye
toward promoting good
governance and institutional
stability which has been so critical
to the foundation’s growth and
maturity.
As Chair, Leon provided
leadership through his own
personal philanthropy by
contributing over $1,000,000
during the past five years. These
gifts helped promote the
improvement of educational
quality in Mexico, and cultural
preservation in Mesoamerica. He
also supported health and
economic empowerment for
communities in Guatemala, as well
as ICF. Among Leon’s passions has
been in promoting the
construction of the ONIL stove
through a recent fund established
at ICF, in an effort to reduce
indoor air pollution and improve
human health conditions in rural
Guatemalan villages.
ICF is enormously grateful for all
that Leon and his family have done
to help further the foundation’s
mission to expand international
philanthropy across U.S. borders.
Leon’s contributions have truly
made a difference.
