In response to the recent earthquake that hit Mexicali, Baja California this past weekend, The International Community Foundation is stepping up to support those people most directly impacted.

The International Community Foundation is partnering with the Cruz Roja Mexicana-Delegación Mexicali (Mexican Red Cross-Mexicali Chapter) to provide direct support to the relief efforts in Mexicali.

Twenty million people in three U.S. states and Mexico felt Sunday's Baja California earthquake of magnitude 7.2. According to the Mexican Red Cross, 25,000 people in Mexicali have been directly affected by the earthquake with 5,000 families having lost their homes. 2 people have died. Presently the Mexican Red Cross is rushing supplies and disaster management staff to Baja California in the aftermath of this earthquake.

Those wishing to provide financial assistance to earthquake victims can also make tax deductible contributions to the International Community Foundation's Baja California Disaster Relief Fund at 2505 N Avenue, National City, Ca. 91950
