  Left: Noyes House Frontview.Right: the small houseIn an effort to promote expanded binational programs, outreach, dialogue and exchange aimed at fostering a healthy, more livable communities in the San Diego-Baja California border region and Baja California peninsula as well as to encourage educational learning and voluntary service furthering cross-cultural understanding, collaboration and expanded philanthropy around the world, the International Community Foundation has established the International Community Foundation Center. The Center and ICF's new permanent offices will be located at the historic Noyes House in National City, located in San Diego's South Bay region within 9 miles of the international border. ICF's planned Center seeks to bring together diverse civic leaders from the public, private, nonprofit sector and foundations from both the United States and Mexico with the goal of improving the level of cross-border understanding to address emerging issues and challenges in the San Diego-Baja California border region and beyond with the goal of facilitating dialogue that will lead to expanded philanthropy and volunteerism in the region. ICF's immediate plans calls for the remodeling of an adjacent 1,200 square foot home into the foundation's new permanent offices as well as the construction of on-site parking and landscaping.
