Programs
  • To support the establishment of a locally based school gardening initiative in National City, California with an initial emphasis on primary school children (4-6) with a focus on promoting a healthy community in the Olivewood Terrace neighborhood of National City by improving the social and physical environments that shape health behaviors and outcomes among the children in this economic disadvantaged and underserved community of San Diego’s South Bay region.
  • The International Community Foundation Center will promote programs which seek to bring together nonprofit and community leaders to better understand the impacts of globalization and human migration in the binational region of San Diego-Baja California border region The Center will be a place for rest, reflection, and fellowship. The International Community Foundation Centerwill also be a place to come together to promote peer-to-peer learning among foundations and nonprofit organizations across borders, disciplines, and sectors.
  • Promote experiential learning for children and youth (K-12) and adults about issues impacting the California-Mexico border region, including globalization, migration, health and the environment, through service learning and philanthropy.
