Friends of World Heritage Baja & Gulf of California Fund
| | Working in collaboration with the United Nations Foundation and Expedia, the International Community Foundation has recently committed to becoming an Associate Partner of the World Heritage Alliance with the goal of promoting sustainable tourism and awareness of World Heritage sites and their surrounding communities along the Baja California peninsula and the Gulf of California. Our goal is to engage new partners, especially in the travel industry and grassroots organizations to catalyze a collective commitment to supporting World Heritage conservation, sustainable tourism, and local economic development for communities in and around the region’s World Heritage sites. ICF’s Friends of World Heritage Baja & Gulf of California Fund will provide grant funding to community based projects and nonprofits committed to the protection and preservation of the region’s cultural and biodiversity World Heritage Sites as well as projects which seek to promote sustainable tourism. |
